Meet Our Team

Scott Shechtman, CFA


Scott Shechtman is President of Longitude. In this capacity, Mr. Shechtman is responsible for new business development and company strategy. He has patents granted and pending for a variety of pari-mutuel wagering frameworks for sports betting. Prior to joining Longitude in 2010, Mr. Shechtman was Assistant Vice President, Markets & Banking Strategy at Citigroup. He has held a variety of other positions on Wall Street. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of Dartmouth College.


Rich Wieszczek

Head of Technology

Rich Wieszczek leads Longitude’s technology team and is responsible for all systems development and technology initiatives. A senior technologist whose career has spanned the communications, medical, pharmaceutical, financial, and gaming industries, Rich specializes in engineering scalable low latency, high throughput, fault tolerant distributed systems. He brings a philosophy of synergistic team approaches and automation in the Software Development Life Cycle for efficient system development and implementation. Rich holds a B.S.E.E. from Rutgers University and an M.S.C.S from Stevens Institute of Technology.


Greg Nichols

Senior Advisor, International Racing and Sport

Greg Nichols is an international racing and gaming expert who has spent 25 years at the forefront of racing governance in Australia and Britain. In addition to his role with Longitude, Mr. Nichols currently serves on the Board of Racing Victoria. His previous role was as Managing Director for Sporting Affairs at Betfair from 2006 until 2011. Greg was Chief Executive of the British Horseracing Board from 2002 to 2006, a time of unprecedented success for British racing. Greg presided over a transformation of racing's fortunes through a testing period of its history, with specific focus on the monetization of the sport's intellectual property rights, the modernization of the sport and the successful management of a competition law/Office of Fair Trading investigation. His involvement in Australian racing began with appointment as Managing Director for Racing in South Australia in 1993 leading to his appointment in 1996 as Chief Executive of the South Australian Thoroughbred Racing Authority. He was subsequently appointed General Manager for Racing Victoria in 1998, with responsibility for the internationalization of Australian racing, specifically, the Melbourne Cup. Prior to racing, Greg played semi-professional football (Australian Rules) for Geelong in the Australian Football League.


Ben Haaland

Senior Business Analyst

Ben Haaland joined Longitude in 2016 to help expand business development initiatives and explore new use cases for Longitude's innovative technology. Prior to Longitude, he worked as an investment analyst in Washingon DC following numerous industries including finance, technology and gaming and wagering. Ben is a graduate from the Kogod School of Business at American University of Washington DC.
